Sonic is skipping fall and heading straight to the holidays.
The chain has rolled out its winter menu, which includes a new Sonic Smasher, a festive slush float, and two soda-based drinks inspired by Coca-Cola's holiday releases.
A New Sonic Smasher
The Smoked Gouda & Bacon Sonic Smasher is a premium take on the chain's popular smash burger. It features crispy bacon, melty smoked gouda, grilled onions, and black pepper aioli on hand-smashed Angus beef patties with a juicy center and crispy edges. You can order it as a double or a triple.
The Santa Slush Float
The dessert-drink of the menu is the Santa Slush Float, an icy Slush made with cherry and vanilla flavors, layered with vanilla soft serve, and topped with whipped cream and a cherry. It's served in a special Santa-themed cup.
Two Holiday Sodas
Sonic's carhops are also serving two festive drinks. The Merry Berry Fizz mixes Sprite or Sprite Zero with cranberry syrup. The Holiday Creamy Vanilla is a dirty soda made with Coca-Cola or Coke Zero, sweet cream, and vanilla syrup, so it's different from the holiday soda sold in bottles and poured at Freestyle machines.
A Refreshed Value Meal
The lineup also includes a refreshed $7 Big Deal Meal, giving customers a lower-priced way to try a combo this season.
Where and When to Get It
The new items are available today in the Sonic app and will arrive at restaurants nationwide on November 2. The winter menu is only around for a limited time, but since Sonic is moving straight from its summer menu, there should be plenty of time to try it.
