Sometimes the best menu launches are the ones nobody sees coming.
Taco Bell customers opening the app on October 15 found a surprise: several new items they'd heard about from market tests last year had quietly joined the national menu, with no official announcement.
A Dipping Burrito With a Twist
The Double Dipping Burritos are an upgrade on the chain's Cheesy Dipping Burritos, served with a first-of-its-kind split dipping cup. One side holds Spicy Ranch, and the other holds crushed, crunchy seasoned tortilla chips and Cheddar cheese crispies. The snack-sized burritos come with marinated steak or slow-roasted chicken, along with creamy Avocado Ranch and a cheese blend, wrapped in a grilled tortilla.
They look slightly different from the 2025 test version, which used Chile Lime Crema and a tortilla strip and cotija blend. They're $5.99 on their own, or part of the $9 Discovery Luxe Box with a Beef Chalupa Supreme, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium drink.
The Crunchadilla Arrives
The Crunchadilla is a crunchy quesadilla made with a crispy tortilla shell inside a grilled tortilla, and it's now on the Luxe Value Menu for $2. The Classic Chicken version is filled with grilled chicken, mozzarella, pepper Jack, Cheddar, sour cream, and Creamy Jalapeño Sauce. The Sriracha Chicken version swaps in Sriracha Sauce.
Sriracha on the Nacho Fries
That same Sriracha Sauce shows up on the Creamy Sriracha Chicken Nacho Fries, which are $5.49 for a limited time. Seasoned Nacho Fries are topped with slow-roasted chicken, Sriracha Sauce, Nacho Cheese Sauce, mozzarella, pepper Jack, Cheddar, and pico de gallo.
Three New Dream Refrescas
On the drink side, there are three Dream Refrescas. The Strawberry Dream Refresca combines vanilla creamer, lemonade, and strawberry flavor. The Pineapple Dragonfruit Dream Refresca mixes lemonade, pineapple flavor, vanilla creamer, and freeze-dried dragonfruit pieces. The Pineapple Dragonfruit Dream Refresca Freeze is a frozen blend of pineapple, vanilla creamer, and the same dragonfruit pieces.
More Menu Tests in the Works
Taco Bell is also testing a new Baja Chicken in Sacramento, California, in tacos, burritos, and bowls. It comes in Crispy or Slow-Roasted varieties, with creamy Baja Sauce, purple cabbage slaw, Cheddar cheese, and pico de gallo.
At Live Más Cafés, a new horchata lineup includes a Purple Horchata Chiller, Strawberry Horchata Refresca, Vanilla Spiced Horchata Refresca, and Chocolate Horchata Cold Brew Float. The two Refrescas hit national menus on December 10, joined by a new Vanilla Spiced Horchata Freeze.
Where and When to Get It
The new items are available now at participating Taco Bell locations. The Double Dipping Burritos, Crunchadillas, Nacho Fries, and Dream Refrescas are on the national menu for a limited time, though Taco Bell hasn't shared end dates.
The Takeaway
Between a new dipping format, a $2 quesadilla, and a few new drinks, there's plenty to try without much of a commitment. Since the chain didn't announce the launch, it's worth checking the app to see what your location has.
