One of Chick-fil-A's most anticipated seasonal items has shown up on menus again, with no big announcement.
The Chicken Tortilla Soup is back for winter at select locations, available for a limited time.
What's in the Soup
The soup combines both Original and Spicy shredded chicken with navy beans and black beans in a creamy base of vegetables and spices. It's topped with crunchy tortilla strips, which add texture to a bowl that has a mild kick of heat. It's available in cup and bowl sizes.
A Recipe With History
The soup was created by Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy and was served at his original dine-in restaurant in Georgia. It didn't make its way to drive-thru menus until 2012, and it's been a winter staple ever since.
The Catch
The soup isn't sold at every restaurant. Only select, participating locations in the U.S. serve it, so it's worth checking the Chick-fil-A app to see if yours is one of them.
Where and When to Get It
The soup is available now for a limited time, or while supplies last, at participating locations. Chick-fil-A hasn't yet announced the rest of its winter menu, including the Peppermint Chip Milkshake, which typically returns around the same time of year.
The Takeaway
If you've been waiting for soup season, this is a good time to check the app and find a participating location. Since it's not available everywhere and won't be around forever, it helps to confirm before you go.
