Ingredients

4 pieces pork chops

1 cup sliced onions

2 cups sliced potatoes

1 cup milk

¼ cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons butter

1 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

1.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a large baking dish with some butter or oil.

2.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the onions until they are soft and translucent.

3.

Add the flour to the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, for about two minutes until the flour is lightly browned.

4.

Slowly add the chicken broth and milk, continuing to stir until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken.

5.

Layer the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish, followed by half of the sauce, ensuring all potato slices are coated.

6.

Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then place them on top of the potato layer.

7.

Pour the remaining sauce over the pork chops, covering them fully, and cover the dish with aluminum foil.

8.

Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

9.

Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
