Ingredients

1 pound beef sirloin

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons cornstarch

½ teaspoon black pepper

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 large bell peppers, sliced

1 medium onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

¼ cup beef broth

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Directions

1.

Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and place it into a bowl. Add soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper, then mix well to coat the beef.

2.

Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add half of the beef slices to the pan, cooking until browned.

3.

Remove the cooked beef from the pan and set it aside. Repeat with the remaining beef, then remove and set aside.

4.

In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil. Add bell peppers and onion, stir-frying until they begin to soften.

5.

Stir in minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about a minute until fragrant. Add beef back to the pan and mix well.

6.

Combine beef broth, oyster sauce, and sugar in a small bowl. Pour this mixture over the beef and vegetables.

7.

Continue stirring for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Drizzle with sesame oil and mix to combine.

8.

Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
