½ cup unsalted butter
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons bourbon
1 cup caramel candies
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon flaky sea salt
Directions
1.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish and line with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly. Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, heavy cream, and bourbon over medium heat. Cook while stirring frequently until sugar is dissolved.

Pour the caramel mixture over the baked crust in an even layer, spreading it gently to reach the edges.
7.
Sprinkle the flaky sea salt evenly over the caramel layer for a perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors.
8.
Allow bars to cool at room temperature for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving. Enjoy the bars when they have fully set.
